It’s been an amazing week, my birthday was this past Monday (16 November) and the celebrations began on the 14th and carried on until the 17th – not a bad run.
It’s also been an inspiring week.
-Monday evening I gathered a small group of friends and ran around in the woods in the dark with cameras and audio recorders.
-Tuesday I made a last minute decision to hop on the train and go to the live taping of episode 230 of Diggnation at the Manhattan Center.
-Wednsday I went to RJ Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT to see Gary Vaynerchuk at his book signing for CRUSH IT!

Putting myself into all of these situations really gave me an opportunity to get a fresh perspective on the routine that I’ve settled into recently. I’ve really been reeling for a purpose since I left my 9-5 job at the beginning of the summer – and truth be told I had let my field of vision become very narrow.
I had become focused on the small city that I live in and the small group of friends that I travel with on a day to day basis.
I had let myself forget about the bigger picture that I always planned to tackle. So; here is what I have come to after the end of this week.
-everybody that I let in to my world matters
-pettiness and anger are a complete waste of my energy
-I’ve learned to just apologize for inconsequential shit; even when I don’t see where I’ve been wrong; just in order to move on.
-listen. listen. listen. listen more than speak.
-don’t waste my time doing things that I DO NOT LOVE
-I have NO boundaries; the only thing that holds me back is myself
and most importantly I’ve realized that I don’t need to be the guy with the most toys or the biggest bank account to be happy. I just need to live what I love and earn what I need to comfortably cover my needs.
So; that said – my long stalled and idled project is back underway. I have no excuses now. I have the time; I can cover the initial investment; and I think that I can make it work. There will be more about this in future posts.
Also; I’m going to see New Moon tomorrow…. I’m not sure why. expect a review as part of my new project.
