well folks. Day 4 is winding down. The plan allows for one meal per week and I decided that today would be that day. I hate food. I went to Chilis and had the fajitas trio plate – ate just the small bits of beef, chicken and shrimp… and the lettuce and diced tomatoes.
It took me forever to eat and by the time that i was done I felt lik e a lead ball had been thrown in my stomach.
It also impacted my daily walk / jog. I didn’t think that I would be able to go any longer than ten minutes I felt so lethargic and crappy… but I kept pressing myself and after every five minutes I said to myself “I’ll go for just 5 minutes more…” until I ultimately made it to 45 minutes.
So, next week I am going to try to make the meal a breakfast food – maybe dinner is too heavy and late in the day.
Anyway – this morning I weighed in at 381 pounds (16 pounds lost since THURSDAY!!) and my blood pressure was 165 / 84.
Well, I made it through yet another day. I am getting used to not consuming solid food. BIG surprise when I got on the scale this morning… I weigh 381 pounds!!! Just thursday morning I weighed 395 pounds. That is a 14 pound loss in TWO DAYS!! Unbelieveable. Also, I was finally able to reach my goal of a 45 minute walk today, I EVEN was able to walk that entire time naturally, swinging my arms by my side instead of clinging on to the bar of the treadmill for dear life.
Progress is a wonderful thing.
Someone suggested to me that I start tracking my blood pressure as well. Thats a good idea. Today my blood pressure was 183/106 with a pulse of 78. WOW!! We’ve got to do something about that!!By the way – I am working on an easier way to display a summary of my information. The way that everything is displayed over on my weighttracker page is GREAT, and I’d like to be able to either embed that here or maybe just install a similar app just for myself on my page so that I can serve the results here. Anyway- just a quick update for today, so that is all.
well, here I am at the end of day two of my velocity diet experience. So far I have to say, everything is AWESOME!!! I havent been hungry once… and in act I have felt more “full”, satisfied, and energetic these past two days than I have in MONTHS!!! Apparently even though I was eating up to 10 or 12,000 calories per day they were all CRAP!!! Turns out that I like the flavor of Flax Seed a whole bunch – which is good since I will be consuming a great deal of it over the next month. Side note about flax seed… 28 serving bag at GNC – $13.00; 34 serving bag in the “healthy hippie” section of SUPER STOP & SHOP – $6.00 moral of the story – shop around.
As far as cardio – I was thinking that I’d just jump right on the treadmill and pound out an hour straight… not the case. Yesterday was tough and I was near death and drenched in sweat after only thirty minutes… today I rallied for 35 minutes – but felt MUCH better while in the process. Tomorrow I’m going to do a dry run of my weight routine.
Now lets talk about results. I am sure that it is just water weight, etc. at this point but… Thursday morning the scale read 395 pounds. This morning the display read 389 pounds!!!!! 6 pounds in one day – I can see that happening as a result of water and waste elimination I guess; but still – that is significant.Anyway, until tomorrow folks.
